Hello, beauties! Today the theme of this blog post will not be a DIY recipe. I decided to introduce you to a German brand that I tried for six months and that really impressed me: BiOriens. As you know, in my blog I love to share concepts of sustainability. When a brand reflects my philosophy, I am motivated to test its products and share my impressions through a review. Here my review about BiOriens.
Disclosure: I would like to underline that the company did not ask me any review in exchange for sending the products. I’m not getting money from that brand as well. After using the products, I found them really good and in line with my philosophy, so I decided to write my opinions here. To give more value to my content, I personally contacted the company and they have provided me with some of the photos you will find in this article.

Get to know the brand
BiOriens is a German brand with origin in Morocco. From their website, I learned that the founders come from the Argan region of south-west Morocco, an area known for its Argan crops. In fact, the company imports its raw materials directly from Moroccan women’s cooperatives supporting, in this way, the job of local women. Learn more about women’s cooperatives. What is often forgotten is that most of the raw materials in beauty products come from rural areas. In these regions, workers’ rights are not always guaranteed. For consumers, it must be crucial to look for brands that are aware of and fight against this problem. I would prefer brands that show attention to the origin of the ingredients but above all to the workers!
BiOriens Review: The package
The first thing I love to share in my reviews is my first impression of receiving the package. As I have already commented on in my previous reviews, the aesthetics of the packaging is for me important. It is the first real presentation of the brand and it deserves a mention if it is well cared for.
I’ve been looking for an oil to alternate with my face creams for months. By chance, I discovered the brand and contacted them to test their products. Kindly they answered me and in a short time, I received a package with the testers of their products. Three in this case: Argan oil, prickly pear seeds oil, and omega oil.
The main products that the company offers are Argan, prickly pear seeds, and Omega oil. I tested them for 6 months with excellent results.
Bio Argan Oil: Review
Argan oil (Fairtrade certified Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil (100%)) is a product that cannot be missing from the skincare routine. Besides being made up of fatty acids, Argan oil is also rich in sterols, squalene, vitamin E, and polyphenols. A mix of antioxidants and nutrients excellent for our skin. Having nourishing properties not only for the skin but also for the hair, I decided to test its capabilities for the latter. During these months, I have applied Argan oil to the ends of my hair every night before going to sleep. After months of lockdown and with the hairdressers closed, a home remedy was necessary. After the treatment, I managed to make them softer and avoid knots.
Bio Omega Oil: Review
This oil is a mixture of ingredients from controlled organic cultivation, such as:
It has among its main components omega fatty acids, natural antioxidants, and vitamins F, E (tocopherol), A, B, and D. Omega fatty acids are known as essential because our body is not able to produce them itself but must somehow assimilate them. Read more here. In Cosmetic, Omega fatty acids are necessary ingredients for the skin. They help to keep the skin nourished and healthy, as well as young. That’s why I tested this oil as a day moisturizer.
The oil is quickly absorbed and does not leave greasy and oily skin at all. The scent is delicate and almost imperceptible. So if you are looking for oil, which is not greasy and without an intense scent, it could be the right one for you.
Bio Prickly Pear Seeds Oil: Review
This oil is divine. I love it. It mainly consists of linoleic acid, so it is perfect for acne-prone skin. That’s why the low level of linoleic acid is a potential cause of acne. In addition to linoleic acid, it contains Vitamin E (Tocopherol), Vitamin C, and phytosterols. An excellent mix of active and anti-oxidant ingredients.
Like the previous oils, the prickly pear seed oil absorbs easily and is not greasy. But what differentiates it is a delicate and fantastic fragrance. Aromatherapy at home! Due to its scent, I decided to use it before going to sleep, because I found its aromatic notes very relaxing. When waking up the effect is fantastic! I feel my skin more plumped up and healthy with a reduction in expression lines close to the eye area. Really great!
In conclusion, discovering this brand and testing their products was interesting. I discovered products that can give excellent results and a company linked to the traditions and the protection of women’s work in rural areas of Morocco. I will certainly continue to use their products and I suggest you take a look at them if this blog post intrigued you. Here the link to their website.
